Call for 2012 OPSI Best Practice Award: Deadline Extension
Extended deadline: Feb. 3
The award recognizes a program that has demonstrated a focus on improving patient safety in a health care setting, incorporating regional and national patient safety benchmarks and remaining unique to the Ohio health care market.

OPSI and Ohio Hospital Association named Hospital Engagement Network for Partnership for Patients
Selected as one of 26 hospital engagement networks nationwide by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, OPSI and OHA will work with hospitals, nursing homes and home health agencies throughout the state to improve patient care in 11 clinical areas, ranging from preventing infections and falls to helping patients fight disease from multidrug-resistant organisms.


The award from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Partnership for Patients initiative is for two years, with an optional third year depending on initial success. Total potential value is $5.3 million. View news release
