Patient Safety Awareness Week 2014; March 2-8

Navigate Your Health...Safely

Ohio hospitals focus on providing quality health care to patients every day, working tirelessly to ensure that diagnoses are timely, accurate, reliable, efficient and safe. During the week of March 2, the Ohio Patient Safety Institute (OPSI) will adopt the National Patient Safety Foundation’s (NPSF) theme for Patient Safety Awareness Week, Navigate Your Health…Safely, which highlights the need for health care providers to ensure that patients and consumers are more engaged in the health care process. The annual awareness event is designed to educate and increase awareness of patient safety activities throughout the entire health care continuum. Resources will be available on the NPSF website during Patient Safety Awareness Week. Ohio hospitals are encouraged to feature their patient safety initiatives during this national awareness week.
