Project Goals

  • to replicate the success of the Michigan Keystone/John Hopkins project to reduce the mean CLABSI rate within Ohio to less than one per 1,000 catheter days in participating hospitals by implementing the Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program (CUSP)
  • to improve safety culture by 50 percent in participating hospitals, create educational modules regarding CUSP
  • to develop a statewide model for implementing and disseminating patient safety initiatives throughout the state.

 

Ohio Coaching Calls

Calls occur at 11 a.m. on the fourth Monday of every month. The dial-in number for each call is 866.837.9787. 

There is no participant code; however, callers may be asked for the title of the call which is “Ohio Coaching Call.” Monthly coaching calls are for Ohio hospitals only.  They are intended to allow participating hospitals to discuss Ohio specific problems, Q&A and/or sharing effective practices.
