Patient Safety Awareness Week 2012

Ohio's Theme:

The Road to Patient Safety - From Chaos to Convergence...

Patient Safety Awareness Week is a national campaign that highlights the importance of patient safety issues and promotes communication between health care providers and patients. OPSI acknowledges efforts achieved and emphasizes further coordination of initiatives toward common goals.

The Road to Patient Safety - From Chaos to Convergence...is about bringing together all of the seemingly distinct safety initiatives that are out there and having them converge to a core set of priorities and activities that complement each other.

When new priorities or safety issues are raised, it is easy to become overwhelmed. Ohio's theme is about taking those initiatives and aligning and organizing them in a way that will lead to improvement across multiple priorities.
